I thought I kept you locked up,
In a little place within my heart.
But you broke free of your cell.
Your love became more and more of me.
First it was all my heart you had
And I was so scared you would break it.
Then you took all my body.
Thoughts of you filled my mind,
And that became yours too.
I was so scared of losing myself.
But then you became a part of my soul,
Intertwining mine with yours.
Your love accepted no boundries.
So I gave you everything,
All I was, am, ever will be.

I tried to write a poem,
I wanted to make you smile,
I could have said I'd die for you,
Or walk a thousand miles.
That may sound poetic,
But never really sincere,
It's hard to put into words,
What I feel 'in here'.
'In Here' is where you are,
You've been there from the start,
You alone, nobody else,
Burried deep inside my heart.

Like rubber duckies to a bubble bath...
Like the stars in a night sky...
Like the melody to a song...
Like Boo-Boo to Yogi Bear...
Like waves to the sea...
Like petals on a flower...
Like the shine to the sun...
Like Romeo to Juliet...
Like the "L" in Love...

my other half.
